Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy
Bronchoscopy is a procedure that allows direct visualization of the airways using a flexible tube with a camera (bronchoscope). It enables the pulmonologist to examine the bronchial tubes, collect tissue samples for analysis (biopsy), and perform interventions such as removing foreign objects, treating airway obstructions, or placing stents. Bronchoscopy aids in diagnosing lung diseases and guiding appropriate treatments.
