Introduction

Dr. Sarita Aggarwal is a seasoned professional, Professor, and HOD in the Ophthalmology Department at Santosh Medical College and Hospital, Ghaziabad. She is a graduate with MBBS from SNMC AGRA and MS from LLRM Medical College Meerut. Currently, Professor and Head in the Department of ophthalmology at Santosh medical college and hospital, Ghaziabad, UP. She is an anterior segment specialist with a wide range of experience in modern cataract Phaco surgeries and corneal transplant surgeries and oculoplasty. Having 17 years of teaching experience, more than 50 publications in national as well as international journals, and having delivered many lectures at different national conferences, Her aim is for her students to excel in their learning journey. She also is a reviewer of various Indian journals and international journals like the European Journal of Ophthalmology. Entitled with the Award of Women of Substance in 2018 and the President appreciation award in 2019, Her aim is to inculcate the same in her students and they have made her proud by winning many titles in various national conferences like DOS, UPSOS, AIOS, ACOIN, etc. She tries to motivate her students at every step possible so that they turn out to be surgeons everyone is proud of.

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal was awarded with the title of ‘Woman Of Substance’ by IMA, Ghaziabad, 2018. 

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal was awarded ‘Research excellence Award,2023’ by Institute of Researchers. 

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal was awarded the President appreciation award organised by IMA, Ghaziabad, ETHOS-2018. 

Achievements

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal is the author to the book ‘Correlation between intraocular pressure and systemic blood pressure’ 

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal has been a reviewer for many National journals like Indian journal of Ophthalmology and International journals like European journal of Ophthalmology. 

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal has participated in many conferences as Chairperson, faculty, speaker and judge. 

• Dr. Sarita Aggarwal was appreciated in recognition for creating ‘Eye Health Awareness’ on world sight day,2022.
